Itinerary

 

Day One: Overnight Flight To Dakar, Senegal

Relax aboard your overnight flight to Senegal, West Africa

 

Day Two:  Highlights of Dakar

 

Morning          Arrive in Dakar and meet your Tour                                          Director and staff. Check into your                                            accommodations and tour the neighborhood.

 

Afternoon        Join a walking tour of the city of Dakar and                             take in the day in the life of the culture.                                    Visit the markets of the Dakar, to get                                        some of your shopping done. Pick up                                        beautiful fabric to have an outfit fashionably                           designed. Visit our finest tailors for design                               and fittings.

 

Night                 Enjoy welcome dinner/meet and greet and                                visit hot night spots.

 

Day Three: Visit to Goree Island-Educational Tour

 

Morning          Participate in history of Goree Island,  an                                 informative lecture that will expose the                                     legacy of "The House of Slaves". We will                                also visit the other museums on the island.                               And Free Time on the bitter sweet island.

Day Three (Cont.)

 

Afternoon        Take advantage of free time to explore                           the "Green" art collection on your own.                           You will have the opportunity to peruse                           the Women's Museum or art markets                           showings on the island of Goree or                               participate in the walking tour of various                           historic land marks.

 

Day Four Lac Rose (Pink Lake) here we come

 

Morning          Explore outer areas of Dakar; your                                curiosity will be peaked at Pink Lake.

 

Afternoon        In the afternoon, visit the tailor to try out                           your new tailor/custom made attire.

 

Night                 Top it off at the African Rhythm/Salsa                           club.  African Salsa classes are held there                           on a regular basis

 

 

All African Dance/Drum, Folklore and Song classes are worked into the itinerary.
